Dr Andrew Emerson, Leader and Treasurer

Dr Andrew Emerson is a nationalist patriot politician, published author and experienced healthcare professional. He has held several teaching posts, including that of Lecturer at the University of Reading. His work, Hospital Hostels, has been published in commercial book form by The Stationery Office, formerly Her Majesty’s Stationery Office.

Andrew is a former member of the British National Party, having joined that party in January, 2005. Prior to that he was a Labour Party activist for more than twenty years, having joined in 1981, at a time when it was the only party of any size that was committed to Britain’s withdrawal from the European Economic Community (EEC).

He represented the BNP as a candidate in two general elections, on both occasions outpolling a UKIP rival. He was fourth on the former party’s list for the European ‘parliament’ elections in the South East, in 2009.

Andrew also represented the BNP as a candidate in more than a dozen local authority elections and by-elections to district, city and county councils.

He has written more than twenty letters, promoting the BNP and its policies, which were published in various local newspapers. Two of these letters were awarded the Letter of the Month prize in that party’s now defunct Identity magazine.

Like his parents, Andrew is a former member of the Trafalgar Club. Between 2010 and 2013 he also published a very successful blog, entitled New Leadership.

“To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often”.

Andrew is proud that he always put his country before his party. He hopes he always will.

Dennis Whiting, Nominating Officer and Chairman

I am a retired librarian, married but with no children. I have always been a nationalist, joining the League of Empire Loyalists in the 1950’s. In 1967 the League merged with other groups to form the National Front. I became the Organiser of the NF Canterbury Group in 1978 and stood as a parliamentary candidate for Maidstone in the General Election of 1979. At the end of 1980, I steered my little Canterbury Group into John Tyndall’s breakaway New National Front, which became the British National Party in 1982.

I remained a BNP local organiser through the lean years of the 1980’s and the 1990’s, the scope of the Group gradually enlarging to encompass Thanet and East Kent. I stood in local council elections on various occasions, most recently in a County Council by-election in Herne Bay in 2008 and for the County Council in Ramsgate in 2009. At the 2010 General Election I stood in Dover. Later that year I was forced to resign as Organiser for being too critical of the party leadership.

I am a convert to the Catholic Church from Anglicanism and am convinced that nationalism cannot flourish without the re-establishment of traditional Christian values. I have written some articles on this theme which I can make available to anyone who is interested.
