The bottom line is that UK sovereignty is non-negotiable.
And that is what the three interrelated so-called sticking points amount to in reality: the question whether the UK is entirely free to make its own decisions, now and in the future, on control of its territorial waters and fish stocks; free to make its own decisions on state subsidies to its existing and emerging new industries; free to have its own courts interpret the rules of any free trade agreements it chooses to make with other countries, notably including the twenty-seven EU countries; and free to break international law in the national interest where that law is manifestly unjust.
